Dr. Chad Johnson

Dr. Chad Johnson
Approach
Dr. Johnson believes there is a perfect time to treat each patient, whether it’s early intervention or full comprehensive treatment. Being a father of four girls, gives him an even better understanding. He always approaches each patient, especially the younger ones, w/ the question of “If it were my child, …”
Credentials
Dr. Johnson grew up around his father’s dental practice and later graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and a Master of Science degree in Immunology. Following in his dad’s footsteps, he then went on to LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana. While in dental school he became excited by the orthodontic portion of his training and decided to pursue the field further. Dr. Johnson was accepted by the University of Colorado Orthodontic Residency Program and graduated with his Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics.

Dr. Adam Danze

Dr. Adam Danze
Approach
Dr. Adam's greatest passion is helping his patients achieve their full smile potential. For him, there is no greater feeling than seeing the look of joy on each of his patients’ faces as they complete their smile journey. Dr. Adam also takes great pride in keeping up with the latest and greatest technology and continuing education in the field of orthodontics.
Credentials
Dr. Adam completed his undergraduate education at Florida State University where he graduated with honors. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UNC-Chapel Hill. He continued his training at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he completed a three-year residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He also received a Master’s degree for his thesis on the relationship of childhood obesity to craniofacial growth, which he later went on to publish in the European Journal of Orthodontics!
Personal
While attending UNC-Chapel Hill, Dr. Adam met his wife, Dr. Kait (a dental match made in heaven!). In his free time, he enjoys fitness, golfing, skiing, traveling, cheering on the Panthers and Tar Heels, and spending time with his family and doggy, Ruby.

Dr. Sheilla Starks

Dr. Sheilla Starks
Approach
Dr. Sheilla Starks has had the privilege of connecting with people from all over the world, and those experiences have shaped her approach to orthodontics—with empathy, kindness, and an open heart. She wakes up every day feeling fortunate to help others boost their confidence through beautiful smiles.
Credentials
Dr. Starks’ journey in dentistry began when she graduated as valedictorian from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and ranking #2 at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry. She then went on to complete a fellowship in orthodontic clinical research, earning her Master’s in Dentistry and Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics from Jacksonville University.
Personal
Originally from Colombia, Dr. Starks has found a home in Charlotte, where the lush, green mountains remind her of her roots. Outside of work, she is passionate about dancing, painting, and cherishing time with her family.

Dr. Isaac Feinn

Dr. Isaac Feinn
Approach
Dr. Feinn believes great orthodontic care starts with listening. He takes the time to understand each patient's goals and concerns before recommending a path forward. There's nothing he finds more rewarding than watching a patient's confidence grow right along with their smile.
Credentials
Dr. Feinn began his education at the University of Louisville, graduating summa cum laude in Biology and Political Science. He stayed on for dental school, earning his DMD and a Master of Science in Oral Biology at the same time, while completing award-winning research on wound healing, serving as class president, and graduating summa cum laude for a second time. He completed his orthodontic residency at the University of North Carolina Adams School of Dentistry, one of the top programs in the country. Dr. Feinn joins iSmile as a board-eligible orthodontist, with his latest research on bruxism soon to be published in the American Journal of Orthodontics.
Personal
Dr. Feinn grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, the middle of six kids, so a busy waiting room feels like home to him. He and his wife (and middle-school sweetheart!) Jenna moved to Charlotte after falling in love with North Carolina during his residency. Outside the office, you'll find him on the pickleball courts, at the piano, or learning the hard way that home improvement is never as easy as YouTube makes it look.

Community Involvement

We love supporting our community. Along with helping local schools and youth groups, our office runs a Partners in Education program. When a student brings in a card from their school and starts treatment with us, they receive $100 off—and their school gets a $100 donation. We believe a strong education and a confident, healthy smile are two of the best gifts a child can have. Dr. Johnson also gives back by providing free orthodontic care through the Smiles Change Lives program.
